The Synod of the Diocese of Ottawa was held once again this year at the Saint Elias Centre, with over 300 delegates present. In his charge, Bishop Peter emphasized the importance of the diocesan stewardship initiative, urging parishes towards renewal and outreach. A special visitor was Bishop Soares of our companion diocese of Pelotas. Eric Harding represented the youth wing of our parish; other members, in addition to Father Rick, were Marion Fleming, Marg Moloney, Myra Conway and Spruce Riordon.
