The annual Synod meeting of the Diocese of Ottawa was held at the Saint Elias Centre, with attendance from parishes across the Diocese. The Bishop's charge made particular note of the need for stewardship in all its forms. Delegates heard as well about outreach, aboriginal affairs, foreign mission work, and many related topics. Saint James' was represented by Father Rick as well as Myra Conway, Marg Moloney, Marion Fleming, and Spruce Riordon. Displays were available showing the work of a multitude of Diocesan agencies, and delegates had the opportunity of buying books, both new and used.
