On Friday and Saturday 22, 23 October, delegates from each parish convened for the annual Synod of the Diocese of Ottawa. We met at the Saint Elias Centre in Ottawa on clear fall day to hear the Bishop's charge, to meet special visitor Bishop Caleb Lawrence of the Diocese of Moosonee, and to discuss a wide range of diocesan issues. For all of us it was an opportunity to meet with friends from other parts of the Diocese, and to see the 'bigger picture'.
