The second Annual Halloween Party & Trunk or Treat Event on Friday, October 23 was a HUGE success. Thirty-two children and their parents attended. The children took part in Pumpkin Bowling, Pumpkin Limbo, Witch Hat Toss, a Touchy Feely Game (where the children had to guess what Halloween items were in the bag), they made a Haunted House craft and ate up some delicious “Holy Ghost” cookies. Even the adults got in on the fun and dressed up in costume… Before the children headed out to the parking lot to Trunk or Treat, Frank Sissons led them all in a spooktacular Halloween story. The parking lot was a buzzing with children flitting from trunk to trunk in search of goodies from the fabulously decorated car trunks. Our Food Bank Trunk for our Outreach Project for the House of Lazarus Food Bank saw lots of action and we collected well over 30 lbs of food….Thanks to everyone for their generous support. Chrisann delivered the food to the House of Lazarus on Halloween morning. Fr. Rick, Chrisann and the Church School children shared the “Pumpkin Prayer” with the whole congregation during the Youth Chat the Sunday following the event.
