Farewell to David Andrew

davidandrew1.jpg (111204 bytes)

On Sunday 25 April, the Parish of Saint James bade farewell to David Andrew, a long-time member of the Parish.

David is well known in the region as a skilled optometrist and owner of Manotick Vision.  Several years ago he heeded a call from God, and began studies for the priesthood.  On Thursday 13 May at Christ Church Cathedral he will be ordained Deacon by Bishop John Baycroft.   Following his ordination, he will become Deacon in charge of the Parish of Clayton, including churches in Clayton, Ferguson Falls and Franktown.

At the conclusion of the Eucharist on 25 April, members of the Parish held a party in honour of David, Toni and Rachael.

Shown below are parishioners blessing the Andrew family as they set out in this new direction.
