June 12 was a hot day, very much summer picnic weather. The parish turned out for a service at 10 am, followed by games, food, and general merriment. Quite a few people, including Father Rick, volunteered for "tattoos" (face painting); the children made a 'constellation' banner, there was a story-telling circle, and of course the ever-popular sack race.
