Visit of Bishop John Baycroft
Palm Sunday, 28 March 1999
On Palm Sunday we were
very pleased to have with us as a visitor Bishop John Baycroft to celebrate the Eucharist
at Saint James' Church. This will probably be his last visit here as Bishop of
Ottawa. In September he will take up his post as the Ambassador of the Archbishop of
Canterbury to the Vatican. Just the previous evening Synod had elected The Very
Reverend Peter Coffin as Coadjutor Bishop.
Following the Eucharist, members of the congregation met in Tomkins
Hall for lunch and a chat.
