EFM Graduates

Remember that EFM (Education for Ministry) group of 2005-06? After four years of study, ten participants completed the four-year course, under the able guidance of Fr. Rick Marples and Rev. Andrea Thomas. The group read, marked, learned and, we hope, inwardly digested almost 2000 pages of written material, some parts fairly straightforward, other parts abstruse and abstract. There was discussion galore, and not a few good natured disagreements! Members became fast friends in this journey of Christian faith.
On Monday 8 June, the group met to celebrate the Eucharist and to receive diplomas from Lisa Chisholm-Smith. Also in attendance were family and friends of the graduates, some shown in the photos below. The evening was completed by a reception in Tomkins Hall. Special thanks go to Rick and Andrea, who have guided the group for the past four years. They have put in countless hours in their tasks as mentors, and have listened cheerfully and patiently to the expression of an astonishing range of theological views.
