What
·
Society holds regular monthly meetings with
presentations of local and general historical interest, with periodic field
trips

Provides heritage presence at local community events
such as Dickinson Days, Kars Fair, and Christmas in the Gower

Encourages research on historical topics for
presentation or publication
·
Publishes and maintains a library (for reference and
sale) of booklets relating to the heritage of Rideau Township and surrounding
area, such as the histories of Manotick, Kars, North Gower and Burritts Rapids.
When

Meetings are usually held on the third Wednesday of
each month throughout the year with the exception of summer months
Where
·
Meetings at selected
sites of historical interest such as the Rideau Township Archives in
North Gower, etc.
